Can any BPL staffers and members comment on how the Cocoon PRO 60 Parka compares with the Montbell Thermawap (both hooded lightweight synthetic insulation tops)? What advantages may the Cocoon Pro 60 have? These jackets seem very very similar in weight and function.

Looking forward to learning more. Kudos BPL, looks like a nice piece.

The Montbell Thermawrap is an excellent product. The insulation in it is a little thinner than in the PRO 60 Parka, and the fit is trimmer than the PRO 60.

The PRO 60 uses tooth zippers; the MB uses coil.

The PRO 60 has large opposite-side-entry chest cargo pockets; the MB has handwarmer pockets.
