****Going to have to put this on hold****
Hi folks,
Putting the feelers out to see who would be interested in a Bpl meet in the ADK March/April.
Cheers,
Stephen

Feb 14, 2013 at 7:29 pm #1954567Sounds like a great time. Unfortunately with a toddler in the house I have a hard time making overnight commitments. I will definately be keeping an eye on this thread in case things work out.
Feb 15, 2013 at 5:01 am #1954655Hopefully you might get to come along Gerry.

Mar 31, 2013 at 5:17 pm #1971488I seem to be joining the game late but wanted to see if you still had a plan laid out and what length of time you had in mind.
Mar 31, 2013 at 5:26 pm #1971491Hi Craig,
I did not hear a peep out of anyone until last week and at hat stage it we too late, we are going to organise a Bpl meet for August/September.

Mar 31, 2013 at 5:28 pm #1971492I'll keep an eye out for your update.
Mar 31, 2013 at 6:32 pm #1971514I've done a couple of the west coast events, would be great to do something in the east. Would love to drive up from pa!
Mar 31, 2013 at 8:01 pm #1971547Hi Sean,
My apologies for using your family name, I was posting on a phone earlier.
Hi GG,
It would indeed be nice to have an east coast meet, I have been at 6 Bpl meets so far this year and they are great.
May 20, 2013 at 6:32 am #1987819Throw some trip ideas and dates out there.
Been out of the game for a long time since buying a home. Gotta dust off my "old" SUL gear list and see if I can find everything in the basement and get to the gym! :p
May 20, 2013 at 7:30 am #1987834I'm section hiking the begining part of the LT this weekend with some friends, and I'll be in Eastern Europe for a few weeks June.
May 20, 2013 at 8:36 am #1987856Gents,
Good to hear from you both.
I was going to try to organise it for when the bugs are not so bad, what's it like in August?
May 20, 2013 at 8:45 am #1987860From a friend who lives in the ADKs:
coming soon, and running through most of June…then it tails off a bit…
May 20, 2013 at 8:49 am #1987862I am free most of July also?
May 20, 2013 at 10:22 am #1987901Bugs are not too bad one it warms up in the ADK's. June is likely buggy. July is mostly free as temps rise into the 80's. Not real good for hiking, too hot.
Late August, September would be better for heat.I am looking forward to it. I am usually in the north west areas. Often I will take a trip along the canoe routes, central to northern sections. Seems like every other week I am up there somewhere.
May 20, 2013 at 10:40 am #1987913Cheers James,
Hiking in the 80's would be too hot hot for me, I was out West last June and the heat (along with the altitude) messed me up big time.
Folks,
I am going to Lollapalooza the first weekend in August but free the rest of the moment.
Its a 10 hour drive for me so to make it worth while I would like if we did 3 full days starting about 10am or so on the Friday morning.
May 20, 2013 at 3:39 pm #1988050Where?
May 20, 2013 at 3:52 pm #1988055I am open to suggestions as it will be my first visit, but somewhere on the West would make my drive easier.
May 20, 2013 at 3:53 pm #1988056Anyone interested in driving up from DC/ NOVA area?
May 20, 2013 at 4:08 pm #1988059If u get to CT, we can carpool.
Jun 2, 2013 at 8:19 pm #1992629Best bet is August or September for me.
Jun 2, 2013 at 8:21 pm #1992631I am free most of August but tied up in September with a trips to Colorado and Arizona.
How about mid August?
Jun 3, 2013 at 4:18 am #1992693Early or end of August, anytime in September if that works for everyone else.
I'm just below Rochester, Ny if anyone is interested in carpool.
