I bought my xtherm for 50% off when Eddie Bauer was doing their anniversary sale. In general, you can expect a 40% sale from them around christmas and it usually doesn't exclude non-EB goods sold on their website…but x-mas is very far away :/
I think your best bet is to wait til march when REI will do their 20% off coupon, and campsaver likewise usually does a 20% off to compete.
