I took a break from making bivy sacks tonight and built some rope bags for some new 9mm static ropes for our rescue group.
Certainly not UL, but much lighter than most standard rescue gear. Nice change of pace :)
This one is 6" x 6" x 18" closed and holds 200 ft of 9mm rope. 9mm is UL for rescue work anyway.Inside out:

Feb 7, 2013 at 5:39 am #1951705I used 8 oz packcloth from Quest Outfitters. I built some gear bags for our rescue group 10 years ago and they still going strong. These really get abused. Tossed from helicopters and such.
