I have a dime size hole in a $400 Pertex Quantum down sleeping bag that I would like to patch. I have a little blue painters tape over it now to keep down from leaking.
What is the BEST way to do this? Rather, what material would I use or are there patch kits? Would the patches from my Thermarest NeoAir work? Money is not of concern… I just would like to know the best, and lightest, method.

Tenacious tape always does a good job, just make sure to cut the patch in to a circle.

You might be able to find the same color of pertex quantum from zpacks or thru-hiker. In terms of patching, here are two threads about what others have done…might be helpful:
I have a sleeping bag that has about a 2 inch tear I need to repair. Its a Montbell. Mouse! I'm not that handy with needle and thread and several seem to think the tape or adhesive patch works well. Will the tape or adhesive hold up for a washing and drying? I am concerned I will open up a dryer full of loose down. Any help is appreciated.
I have a pair of Down trousers which I patched about 5 years ago with Tenacious tape and it still holds after being in the dryer a bit.
I used matching fabric and 3M9485 transfer tape. Many years later … the repair is still there.
