Seems like the ventilation and sun protection would be better then most as well as doubling as a blanket for cold nights. What do you guys think anybody have any experience with it? How would it preform in warm/hot weather?

I love the concept. So stylish…
Right?! Got the idea while watching the good the bad and the ugly yesterday and who doesnt want to look like the man with no name haha
If I'm gonna go "The Outlaw Josey Wales" on my next backpacking trip, I'd actually like to have something maybe custom made. I'm looking at my Mountain Hardwear mesa pants… super-durable, windproof material with heavy stitches and very convenient pockets. In my mind's eye I can see a perfectly sized "Good, bad, and the Ugly" poncho made of this technical material rather than wool.
Lightweight, sheds light rain, keeps the wind off, but vents like crazy. I don't know how ridiculous it would look, but conceptually, I am a huge fan of the idea. You could even sew pockets inside.
