Unfortunately 50% of the "retail" pricing, and not 50% off their most recent pricing.

Kathmandu have taken this to an extreme here in New Zealand. Their "regular" prices are ridiculous. However, it obviously works,as Macpac now have an very similar retail set up regular pricing is more sensible though).
Still a good price for the Jam at 50% off even when most are at their full price.
Has anyone used/compared the Jam from a couple of years ago (i.e., pre-load lifters with the new version with load lifters). Any real difference in the way it feels to carry 15-20 lbs?
