New 3-part modular backpack at 2.5lbs

Interesting. Not particularly useful, but interesting. The Boreas Bootlegger.

From what I can tell, it's a 2-part backpack with an included dry-sack that can attach to the frame and be used by itself. So it's 3 bags in one, with a total capacity of 43L. That's just my understanding. I like this company, so I'll be watching for this product.

My best guess at a use would be if you're someone who does a lot of summit trips. Hauling 43L up to camp and then switching to a 13L daypack for summit day is a neat way of handling things. I don't see a hipbelt, though.
