The arc blast has won me over as my next pack and I thought I knew exactly what I wanted. I love the idea of a seam sealed roll top water proof backpack with killer suspension.

My biggest issue with the arc blast was the maximum size. I've been inquiring about having a 58 liter (3600 ci) version built for me and am waiting for Joe to get back from NZ to find out more about this custom pack being built. I'm guessing after mods and adding hip pockets the pack would be coming in around 15 oz.

Today I've recently had the itch to look at the ULA ohm 2.0. I have heard such overwhelming reviews from everyone who loves this pack that it's sparked my interest.

I personally love the giant side pockets and the belt pockets. I like the thick padded belt and what people say about the comfort of the pack. If I do away with the removable parts I'd be around 25 oz.

I'm really hung up on the 9-10 ounces I could save with the arc blast. Does either have an advantage at the upper limit of 30 lbs?
