laminating velcro

I too am looking for "The Right Glue" to glue Velcro to the fabric of the main zipper flap on my REI eVent parka. Whatever it is it must always maintain flexibility. My first inclination is to use a thin coat of "Gorilla GLue" sold here in the US. Any thick glue layers will be more likely to crack.

Whatever glue used it must have great shear strength to resist delaminating when separating the two Velcro pieces.

I'll test the Gorilla Glue today on some Velcro and old ripstop nylon fabric. Let you know how it works later.

I ended up sewing the velcro to the grosgrain ribbon, since I realized I couldn't apply the glue to the ribbon and the velcro strip and then press them together without trapping a ton of fur in there too.

I did glue the two grosgrain ribbons together. I used a glue that states it remains flexible after curing. We will see how it holds up.

I am interested in your results, as I still have to attach the velcro to the jacket and might consider gluing there in addition to, or instead of, sewing.
