At another forum someone was asking about a lantern (the Black Diamond was a popular suggestion) but I thought of adapting a torch.
The idea of using a ping pong ball came to mind, later discovering that of course it has been done before.
Anyway, I made my own and here it is :
That is with the setting on low , on a long exposure you would be able to get a better idea of the light output but it just shows the even spread.
The ping pong ball works well because the skin is very thin.
I made the hole a bit smaller than the torch diameter so that the edges can be pushed in to form a bit of a collar.
The "sleeve" if from Tyvek , glued with PVA.
Difficulty from 1 to 5 : 0.5 (about my level)Edited, as usual, to add photos
