When I like something a lot, I want to talk about it.
I have the Brooks Range Mountaineering Isto Softshell jacket, and I love it. I was initially hesitant about ever wearing a softshell jacket because of the weight to warmth ratio. However, this jacket is very lightweight; the fabric is thin, and highly breathable. For winter hiking and running, it's the perfect thickness. 4-way stretch is fantastic for active use. Every time I go outside, I find myself grabbing this versatile layer.
The zippers are all good quality, the drawstrings are good quality, the velcro cuffs are good quality- I have all good things to say. I'm not the only one; customer reviews are all high and Outside Magazine gave it a favorable review.
Additionally, the jacket comes with a repair promise, a window sticker, and a sweet pin. The little rabbit on the back collar is super classy.
