Pocketmonkey: 1 ounce, 1mm multi-tool

I see ULers cutting the head of this monkey :D

Not even getting close to multitools such as Letherman Style. Which is less than 1 oz (23 gram) and has knife, tweezers, scissors, screwdriver …

Unless you're going to bike and drink beer, this tool is useless… IMHO

Useless is a bit harsh, no? I guess I should have qualified this post by saying its perfect for EDC and not so great for backcountry. I agree, something like a SAK Classic or a Leatherman Style is pure bliss in the woods…i have and use both. But for all other situations where I'm not living out of a backpack, I feel like this card-tool and a folding knife will get me out of most jams. I especially appreciate the various sized and shaped screw drivers. Being TSA friendly is great too.

There are already ten of these on the market, even titanium versions. There are smaller ones, too. There are plastic credit card multitools. Gimmicky multitools are just that- gimmicky. I can't see any of these tools being as useful as a knife with a real handle, like a leatherman or swiss army knife.

The Style is TSA friendly, too.

While hiking:

1. I dont need a phone kickstand
2. I dont need to peel oranges
3. I dont need to open bottles
4. I dont need to "nick" a banana
5. I dont need to open letters
6. I dont have any nuts on any gear
7. I dont have any phillips screws on any gear
8. I dont have any large standard screws on any gear
9. I havent yet needed to measure anything small
8. The tiny standard screwdriver might work for glasses, but a dedicated would be lighter. and smaller.
