I'm looking for a good warm weather long-sleeved shirt for sun protection. It seems that the Rail Riders Adventure Shirt has a strong following here. A few people have suggested buying one size larger in this brand for a good fit. I am 5'9" and about 165lbs. Can anyone comment on sizing? Also, are there other similar shirts I should consider? Thanks, Mike

I have one of those and I really like it. The under arm mesh and venting in the back works effectively to keep you cooler. I usually wear size medium, and ordered mine in medium. The fit for me was good. It's a high quality garment, you won't be disappointed.

Mike, I bought my first RR Adventure shirt seven years ago and still haven't found anything better for warm to hot weather. I'm 5'9", 150 lbs. and the medium fits me well. It might not be a bad idea to go up a size since you want a loose, comfortable fit for warm weather.

Michael, one more vote here for the RR Adventure Shirt. I wear L shirts and find the sizing consistent with others. But a roomy fit is more comfortable in hot weather to me.

The Adventure shirt is nearly the same as the RR Eco-Mesh shirt. RR replaces elastic cuffs on the sleeves with a button placket for the Adventure. Also the Adventure shirt has buttons on the front. The button sleeves allow much more adjustability for venting options. It's more comfortable to wear for several days.

As with many synthetic fabrics it does carry some stink. But the shirt launders well and washing with detergent does allow me to keep it in the house between hikes.

I have to be careful with sun exposure. The RR Adventure shirt works well for me in hot weather and intense sun exposure.
