After ruining my old wind pants this summer, I decided to get new pants and to go ultra-light, as they spend most of their time in my day pack or back pack awaiting the right conditions. I was down to the Montbell Dynamos and the Camp Magics when I saw the Camp Magics on sale at Pro-lite and punched the button. The Camp Magic pants in XL weigh 3.7 ounces!, which is less than company's claimed weight for the medium, though I think that the listed weight is includes full zip. The pants seem to be very well made, with nice ankle zips with pull strings to close and velcro tabs to tighten the area(a nice touch for biking). There is a large zip pocket in the rear and the elastic waist has a nice cinch cord with mini buckle. The fabric itself is heavier duty than gossemer thin fabric of my TNF Verto top and lighter duty than my Pata Houdini top, but feels quite strong. The whole pair of pants stuffs into an attached bag resulting in a package about the size of a mid-sized delicious apple. I am impressed and will do a review after some active use.

I have a down jacket, the men's ED Slim from CAMP and was similarly impressed. It lost a lot of feathers in the beginning, but I tumble-dried it with no heat for 5-6 hours with some tennis balls and that did the trick.

Fine company, fine lightweight clothing. 9/10.
