I got a Klymit Static V yesterday and have tried it out some. I am a big and tall side sleeper and find it pretty comfortable so far. I come close to bottoming out but it is not too bad yet. The only problem I have is that if I toss and turn I find the pad not that wide. What have people done about this? Thanks.

I also picked up the Static V pad a while back, however, I found it right opposite of comfortable. Those spaced out baffles were a bit uncomfortable to me, especially when lying on my sides. They seemed to be digging into my sides…

I also found that I bottomed out quite easily on this pad too. To try and overcome this, I tried blowing it up as much as I could (I prefer a bit more of a firm air pad anyway). This did help a tad, but I still bottomed out more than I would like. (This also made the chambers digging into my side a bit worse too.)

As far as the width, I found that when inflated, the pad at its widest point was only 21.5" wide. This was wider than my Neo, which I was fine with anyway, so I found the width of the Static V to be ok for me.

Another thing, I also found that the center of the pad is a bit thicker than the edges. This constantly made me feel like I was somewhat balancing on the center of the pad.

I still have mine, but it will be a loaner pad…

Here is a write up I did on it over on my blog:
