Received my BackCountry Boiler a couple of weeks ago, although I haven't had a chance to use it with wood yet. The construction quality was very good, a few cosmetic scratches and rough spots hear and there, but not enough to make me want to return it. I took it on a backpack to Point Reyes and used it with the FireFelt wick in the alcohol mode. Wood Fires are not allowed at Point Reyes National Seashore and I assume that would mean the BackCountry Boiler with wood , but I didn't ask a Ranger. It works fine with alcohol, but it seems to use about 25% more alcohol than my Caldera Cone Sidewinder with the .9L REI pot. Very nice piece of gear, and I hope to use it with wood soon in a place where wood fires are allowed.
