Hennesy Adventure Racer

Instead of the adventure racer, look at the HH Hyperlite. I believe they discontinued the adventure racer since the hyperlite is actually lighter yet retains more of the optional accessories that the racer did without.

Hyperlite much heavier than the adventure racer. My AR weights under 16 oz. I say go for it. It's plenty strong and if you, like me, are careful w/ your gear you should have no problems. Carol Crocker uses one.

I've been using the adventure racer all summer and love it. HH still make the adventure racer, they have a hyperlite too which weighs 8 oz more than the adventure racer but will accommodate larger people. You are the same height and weight as me, the adventure racer fits me fine – I have no need for the larger / heavier hyperlite. In terms of durability, 2 anecdotes: My brother in law "tested it" he's over 6 foot and 220 lbs, it handled him fine. And, one night somehow a titanium tent stake ended up in the hammock – I slept on it all night ( I'm a restless sleeper) no problems – a testimony not only to the racers durability, but comfort too.
