I'm trying to find one of these for a MYOG project, but I don't want to buy 1000 of them. Does anyone know where I can get these in single units?

Seems like a trip to the mall or toys r us would produce some sort of blow up gizmo that could be dissected for the valve.

Or email the supplier and ask for a sample.

Do ask for samples. Suppliers will send them to prospective buyers in small quantities. They might send several types.

Go to toy store. Buy cheap plastic ball. Cut out valve.

I use these all the time: http://www.airtimekite.com/index.php/catalogsearch/result/?q=inflation+valve&x=0&y=0

The adhesive sticks to nylon very well.

    Thanks Ryan,

Will these stick to cuben fiber?

    Jack,

Good question, never tried. I always used them for MYOG sleeping pads. My guess is yes, but not sure how well. Seamgrip does adhere to both cuben and this valve so you could use that if the factory adhesive fails.

Check out Cascade Designs (www.cascadedesigns.com), makers of the Thermarest line. They sell a valve repair kit, complete with adhesive.
