The Conduit back pad is available already. I asked about it and was told to add it in my order in the feedback/comments section of the order form and it will be included. I'm sure Brian will add it to the order page sooner or later.

David – I don't know if the hipbelt pockets will fit other packs or not. You'd have to ask Brian. I too have thought the Relay could use hipbelt pockets, but I know Brian's trying to keep his design weights down to compete with other UL packs of similar capacity. These are much smaller (30 cubic inches) than those on Brian's other packs (50 cubic inches).

Russel is correct – Yes, the Conduit backpad is currently available and no, it's not on the order form yet or I would have ordered one when I bought my wife her Conduit earlier this month. For now, I made one out of an old closed cell foam pad.

He also has a new product called the Mist Overmitts. There's not much info other than price but he says he will put some up along with pictures soon. They're probably something along the lines of the MLD eVent mitts but a different material since they're cheaper.
They are in stock and on the order form so if some brave soul wants to take the plunge and see what they are they could :). I would have loved to get the MLD mitts but I couldn't see myself using them that often that I needed to spend $40 on them. I could probably handle $20 though. I may have to order the Rain Wrap and Amp if I do that though!

Zpacks (and others) offer silnylon shoulder strap pouches and hip belt pockets. You get the utility with essentially no weight penalty.

Amp Hipbelt Pockets: now available. ~1 oz each, removeable, ~30 cu in, $8 apiece. Sorry…they don't work on the Relay!

Conduit Backpad: now available. ~1.1 oz, $5, removeable. Not meant as a suitable replacement to a sleeping pad in terms of load support and backpanel rigidity. More suited for daypack loads and comfort. Bob has it right…find an old foam pad and make your own!

Mist Overmitts: now available. 1 oz for Sm, 1.2 oz for MD, and 1.4 oz for LG. $20. These are not fancy. Really, really basic. Ideal with a liner (EX: BPL Possum gloves) for cold temps, a bit of non-adjust elastic at the wrist. I'm sewing them up from similar materials as Frogg Toggs. So…you all know what that means…they could be more water resistant, they could be more breathable…but for the price you may consider to compromise a bit on performance. :) Mosquito resistant.

If you want a great fit, technical performance, etc definately get the MLD eVENT mitts…
