I'm wondering if this is the norm with the Alpine Light Down Paraka I just ordered or if I have a severely under filled jacket. The arms, the last two segments in particular, appear to have virtually no down in them.

In comparison to the body baffled segments, the last two segments of the arms appear to only have down filling MAYBE 1/4 of the round of he arm. Even after 48 hours of time for it to re-loft. My Marmot Zeus seems as if it's filled twice as much in comparison, and it is only supposed to have 3.5oz of down vs. the 4.3oz that should be in this. Granted this jacket has a hood and the Zues does not, but I feel that the difference in fill should at least leave me with a similar loft in the arms. I'm wondering if anyone else that owns this jacket could give me some insight as to if I just have a poorly produced jacket? Does Mont-bell tend to put more of their down in the body?

TIA!

That's definitely not normal, all the baffles on mine are nice and puffy. I'd recommend returning it or contacting Montbell.

Sound wierd to me also. Mine is very well filled. Maybe take a picture of it and email it to them, or just return it for another one.

Working with Mont-bell directly (as EMS no longer has the size and color in stock) to get a replacement. Both Mont-bell and EMS have been very helpful in resolution options thus far. Hoping the replacement from Mont-bell is drastically different from the jacket currently in my possession.

Thanks to all that responded!
