Material for a bivy bottom

I need to replace the material on the bottom of my bivy. I wasn't going to us silnylon because of its limited waterproofness. However I understand MLD nylon is a lot better. Anyone have any idea if that nylon could take the pressure of someone sitting/laying on it and remain waterproof?
