Not so light-ish freestanding tent?

The current model of the Big Agnes Copper Spur UL1 is about 90" long, according to the maker, and the width averages 35". Not being anywhere near 77" tall, can't say if this would be large enough for you, but maybe. The end walls are closer to vertical, so that might help also. Good luck.

This solution only works "on seasonal clearance prices", but it has for me: the Big Agnes Copper Spur UL2. Yes, the 2: it's just barely long enough for me (6'5") to sleep in my "one arm out" side position, free-standing (but you do want to stake out the fly), and with plenty of room as a solo. I've also used it with either my wife or son, and it's fine so long as the second person is nowhere near my size…

Dripping wet, with 8 stakes and a 2mil painter's plastic ground sheet, the UL2 is just under 3.5lb. I got mine on clearance for 199.99. The MSRP is twice that.

This past season, I've also bounced off of the Quarter Dome T1, as a buddy used it on our Sierra trek this year. It's much lighter and more narrow with one door only. It fits in spaces the Copper Spur won't (since the 2 has doors and vestibules on both sides), costs less than the Big Agnes tents and looks great. It has much less vestibule space and the door requires one to be more nimble than the UL2 folks have to be, but it's lighter.

Both tents handled wind and extended rain without problem, but the fly on the Quarter Dome does better over long periods of rain. The Big Agnes didn't leak, but it was pretty sodden after 4+ hour rains.

The copper spur ul 1 will not work for someone 6"5. I'm 6"2 and it just fits me. I love the tent though.

I would check size of T1 at REI. I have a QDT3 and though it says 84 in length, that is the fly. The inner is more like 75" That's why they have a T2+ and T3+

For the REI Quarter Dome T1, will it actually fit someone 6'5" because there seems to be contradicting info and I am 3 hours away from and REI. Thanks.
