Element wood burning stove, titanium

I've had mine about a month and love it, works great as a wood burning stove and makes a great wind shield for my alky stove when I use it.

I have not used this stove myself but those that have seem happy with it. You could look at threads on WhiteBlaze.net and/or HammockForums.net for examples of testimonials from users.

Your interest in this stove made me do a google search to find out more about it. I like what I see and read about it. Proffesor Hammock does a nice video on it's use. The video is on Youtube.

I like the fact that the four sides of the stove are hinged together. You can fold the stove in such a manner that your hands will not get soot on them. I have a youtube video of how to fold such a hinged stove. I sell the design but won't give the name of it. Even the fire grate is hinged, no loose parts.

If I had(emphasis on HAD) to purchase a wood burning stove I would choose the Element. I would modify it to meet my personal likings. (hinged grate)and more holes for air entry and exit.

The more air you give a wood burner, the less smoke it will make. If you top light it you will have most smoke free burn. That's my personal experience.

Of all the stoves out there, the "Element" comes closest to the RIGHT one.

There is one stove out there that meets all requirements and could be called "the RIGHT" one.

I have the ti Sidewinder Caldera cone stove with the Inferno insert for woodburning. The Inferno insert makes it a "gassifier" type stove (i.e. highly efficient B/C it burns more of the gasses).

This is, in my own comparisons to a Bushuddy, the best stove in terms of overall efficiency with wood, ESBIT and alcohol and in terms of storage. Ya just gotta see it in action to believe how well it works.

The Element will burn esbit and alcohol really nice also. You'll like the fact that four of it's sides are hinged together to aide in keeping hands free of soot. All those other stoves out there are going to get your hands really dirty including the Caldera.
