I was able to try on a RAB Alpine Generator today and did not really find it that warm. It seemed about as warm as my Montbell Inner Down Jacket and only slightly warmer than my Patagonia R2 paired with a wind jacket. Am I missing something? Are all of the lighter synthetic jackets in the same range of warmth? It just seemed kind of odd because the thing weighs over a pound.
