Somehow I doubt Japan would be shipping anything radioactive out of the country. …plus I think the you'd need to still be worried about the A-bomb if that were the case.

Got a geiger counter? Got one of those little spinning things in that vacuum sealed light bulb body that you can spin via sunlight (aka – solar radiation)?

Take your pot through security at an airport. If you find yourself face down and handcuffed its radioactive.

I am not sure I see the downside, imagine the weight savings if your pot can cook your meals without a stove!

If any radioactive dust happened to collect on it, a trip through the dishwasher should clean that right up and dilute it to a safe concentration by the time it hit the drain.

Radiation poisoning is an overblown concern. The amount of carcinogens in the atmosphere of any given urban center (along with what's in your food) is far deadlier over time.

X-rays, airport scanners, and just flying in a commercial airplane douse you with far more radiation than most people would see normally. In other words your pot would have to set off Homeland Security alarms when it hit a US port for you to have seriously worry about being poisoned (or even low level DNA damage).
