While all 3 members of the BMW Vapr bivy series may be highly touted, they have not been available for a year now. I'm still waiting on a response to my inquiry as to when, if at all, that will change.
I suggest you concentrate on alternatives.
Thanks for the reply Bob,have been checking the specs on the MLD soul bivy and to be honest it looks like a better bivy, there is a three week wait for one though!
A couple of years ago, Ron Bell/MLD made a heavily customized Soul Bivy for me out of Epic Malibu fabric. IIRC, original estimate was 8 weeks. Turned out, IIRC, I had to wait just 9 weeks for it (not a bad estimate after all!! remember, an estimate is just that – an estimate;it ought to be close, but may not be exact, IMO). Immaculate in craftsmanship – you'd never believe that it was a "one off" and not something he had made 100 of previously. Well worth the wait, too.
Simon: I had the same problem, but decided to order a MLD LiteSoul Bivy, simply because it's lighter than the ones offered by BMW. And I think that customization might be a problem if you order here on BPL, but it's definetely not if you contact Ron Bell. What is more, it's a lot cheaper!
