I have a Sawyer 3-way Inline filter that I am thinking of using for another project I have and buying a Sawyer Squeeze for its flexibility. I would like it to be used as an inline filter and would get some of the inline adapters. The things is though I really don't want to take the syringe along where ever I might go. I thought about using some sort of quick disconnect pieces on either end of the adapters so I could just flip the filter around so that it can connect to the other bag end. The problem is ones they sell at Sawyer =are $9 plus $8 shipping which is way a bit much for something that weighs maybe an ounce and are small plastic pieces.
What are other options people have thought of for using the Squeeze as an inline filter and for using backflow to clean it? Also are there places where you can get those quick disconnect pieces?
Jeez, and doesn't it seem a bit much that you have to buy bags to use with it since the Sawyer ones are such junk (at least from just about every review I have read).
