Hi everyone, I just did a monster dayhike yesterday, the Skyline trail near Palm Springs. You start on the desert floor at 400 feet, and climb to 8600 feet in about 8 hours and 10 miles. So, it isn't terribly long but brutally steep. Fortunately when you get to the top 8 ohurs later, you can ride the Palm Springs Tram back down.
