Slippery tent

Try treating your sleep pads instead of the floor. It is a smaller area to treat. Also instead of just "spots" try some a curvey lines on the bottom of the pads.

When I bought my Henry Shires Tarptent I had the same problem, so I ran a few beads of seam sealer the length of the floor. No more problems.

You need a lot more than just spots — I mean just think of what it takes to stop a full body weight from sliding off an angle!

What you need is to brush on 4 or 5 lines half an inch thick across the floor of your tent — or similarly on your pad. Most important, of course, is to find a campsite that's as level as possible.

The floor of my BD firstlight is silnylon. If it is the same as the material you are dealing with, I reccommend the Gossamer Gear 3/4 sleep pad. It stays put…and it also is less slippery with sleeping bags than most pads.

4 or 5 lines a half in thick sounds like about a good 6 or 7 ounces of weight!
