Anybody else having quality control issues with their Neoair XLite, or is it just me?

I wonder if the delamination of the reflective layer people are seeing is just a function of the see through fabric and not actually a new problem. This delamination could be occuring in the old style neoairs and we just wouldn't see it.

So does the delamination affect the temperature performance of the pad? I just ordered one of the Xlite larges so I will see in a few days if I get a good one or a defective one.

I had a delamination of my original Neo Air a month ago. I was setting up my camp in GNP mid-afternoon, and blew up my pad fairly full (I was thinking of stretching out for a short nap, having slept poorly the night before). I had my head down toward the foot end of my Contrail, moving the sleeping bag around, and I heard a very loud splash in the lake right next to me. I freaked, slid back out, grabbed the pepper spray, and turned to face a big 3-year old bull moose which was just 30' away. So I had to spend maybe 10 minutes doing my evasive maneuvers, while the moose eventually got bored and moved on down the lake. Forgetting about the Neo Air, I was sitting on a log sipping water, and I heard a bunch of crinkle sounds. It took me a minute or so to realize that the sounds were coming from the tent. It turned out that the sun was shining through the door of the tent, the Neo Air swelled up impressively from the expansion of the heated air inside, and internal delamination was the result. Major delamination. Long story, short bit of wisdom to share: Never leave your pad full of air, and don't leave it in direct sunlight.
