Waterproof light over mittens

These are like hens teeth to track down – I know Ron at MLD has just released a pair (eVent $US40). Anybody got any field feedback on these (or other options)?
We are coming into our winter – I am off on Easter w/e (April 5) for a week and expect rain – urgently need a light weight suggestion to keep my possum gloves dry
