I'm looking to find out what is out there in terms of lightweight (as in the weight of the article of clothing) thermal base layers for cold temps. I'm looking to replace the following clothes at the following weights with something equal or better in warmth, but lighter in weight.:

Nike Combat Pro Leggings: 5.6oz
Nike Combat Pro LS Shirt: 8.3oz

TIA!

Craft make super thin yet insanely warm thermal gear. My short sleeve thermal top from Craft weighs in at 80g. Here is the one I got but I got mine on a special and I think I only paid about $35 http://www.wiggle.co.uk/craft-active-extreme-short-sleeve-base-layer/

I found Craft via cycling. I was training for State and National events and the clothing for cyclists are minimalistic in weight. My head warmer (beany) is 34g, got some really light gloves as well.

Mik

Thanks for the tip, but unfortunately I cannot find any of their Pro Warm stuff anywhere online, nor the weights of any of them.

Does anyone else have any other suggestions?

TIA!

Any idea on the weights of each piece? Looking to save weight while maintaining warmth.

TIA!

Sorry, dunno…I only use their summer mesh-y stuff. I like Merino in the fall/winter, normally.
