low rise shoe with most forefoot cushioning?

I am running with a forefoot/midfoot strike but still want cushioning for runs on pavement, where minimally cushioned shoes cause me problems.

Which shoes with minimal heel rise still offer good forefoot cushion? BTW I have a wide-ish foot, such that a New Balance 2E width is good. No shoes with narrow toe boxes need apply. I'm also a Clydesdale at 200+ pounds.

Don't know about the heel drop but the assics trubacco has an amazing amount of cushioning. I spent 3 weeks above 8,000 in Peru on them this summer and loved them. My feet are wide at the blade.

A lot of runners, especially older runners, swear by Hokas. The Hoka Bondi B has LOTS of padding and just a 4mm drop. Here’s one of many articles you can read online:
