My feet are ruined, years of DH mountain biking and working on drilling rigs has left my tootsies very fragile… i recently completed the chinese wall loop this summer and my shoes totally failed me (TNF with boa lacing system) blisters galore, rolled ankles, missing toe nails… i was a mess… my total pack weight was 14lbs. my last trip i used 5.10 exium guides, all leather and didn't dry to well… a wee bit of masceration occured… pack weight was 20lbs. feet felt fine and only one blister started… can anyone point me in the direction of a lightweight shoe?
I'm a bit gun shy of buying another pair of shoes and have them tear me a new one 50 miles from the trailhead…

I think you need to break in the shoes and see how your feet will do with them BEFORE you get to the trailhead. I can't tell you how any particular shoe will fit your foot. Go to a good running shoe store where they will analyze your stride and foot and give you better advice.

Get thee to a podiatrist. A good one will provide you with orthotic footbeds that will save your feet. The PAL orthotics are of a more flexible carbon fiber material with a blue Spenco reinforced footbed. Once your feet are resting on a proper foundation, the difference will seem almost magical. Then you can try the footbeds out in no end of footwear until you get the right fit. If you don't spend the money now, you may not be hiking later.

Sole heat moulded footbeds are very good, might be worth a shot.
