Just a few simple questions as I get to know this shelter:
How do you pull out the plastic wand that props open the top vent? Maybe I'm being too careful but I don't want to pull out any seams.
Also, do folks just leave the wand in, including when stuffing into a stuff sack, or do you take the wand out?
Finally, my cuben SoloMid came last week. This is the first time I've seen the reinforcing material (usually black Dyneema) as a white material, but it doesn't look like Dyneema. Mine also has a reinforced patch of this material on the top outside AND the inside, and a few reinforced patches on the outside seams near the top, again something I've never seen before in photos. I'm mostly just curious what this material is and why the extra patches.
