Hi all,

Currently have a osprey exos 46 but like the looks of the new GG Gorrilla. Does anyone have any experience with both. Potentially looking for a new lighter pack. Like the Kumo as well but not sure if I could pull that off at the moment with my current set up. Love to hear some reviews of the Gorrilla or Kumo or any other lightweight packs similar to these. Thanks!

I have owned both. FWIW I sold the Osprey even though it was an ok pack. I did not like the frame and the odd shape of the bag itself. I always seemed to bust my knuckles when I was packing it. The Gorilla packs so much better. The side pockets of the Osprey are awful IMHO. The front mesh pocket of the Gorilla holds so much more than the Osprey's external pocket.. The Gorilla is very comfortable for me up to 25 lbs and not bad with 30 lbs. I also consider the external sit pad of the Gorilla a plus. The Gorilla is also almost a pond lighter.

Thanks!

How do the two compare in terms of overall space? I usually have extra space in my 46 exos so I'm thinking of getting something smaller and lighter..

The Exos 46 is listed as 49 liters for the large, the Gorilla is listed as 46 liters including outside pockets. I t has been two years since I sold my Exos but I think that they are pretty close in volume. The Gorilla expands better for more volume due to the stretch pockets.
