I was just wondering, after having stumbled upon how to calculate the temperature rating of combined bags, how much less down a quilt needs ? Keeping in mind that quilts do no offer and head insulation but usually a down balaclava weighs less than 2oz total.
Fill weight is tough to compare because quilts come in much different sizes, so I look at loft first, and then look at fill weight and fill power.
