I often go trout fishing. Sure I have to lug up an extra rod but it's fun and the weight of the trout I eat means I can pack in less food.
Anyway, I need to start packing in a trout net. It means less fish escaping and less damage to the fish.
I can keep them in the water and they can't flop around while I'm trying to take out the hook.
When I was in Yellowstone I found out the native cutthroat were MUCH more fragile. I killed a couple which I had intended to release (though I did eat them so it wasn't a loss – I just couldn't fish anymore for the day).
I was thinking of combining my mosquito head net with a coat hanger and building a multi-use and lightweight net.
The question is who do I fasten the netting to the frame. I imagine I could build set of clips to attach it.
Thoughts on this?
