I'm planning to hike from MTR along the JMT to the junction with the HST (Haha) and then heading west through the Kaweahs and then probably back out over Kaweah Gap. I'd like to get a resupply at Charlotte to get me back over to the west side. I heard that there may be one or more folks over on the east side that have some type of informal service where they will pack in your food to you, for a fee of course. I'm hoping to avoid the cost of the seki pack train folks but they are my plan as of right now. So if anyone has heard about this or wants to make $100 or so to pack me in 6 days of food from Onion Valley to Charlotte on Sunday, Aug 19, let me know!
