I have a Sierra Designs Clip Flashlight 2 tent and it uses the Jakes Foot clips to attach the poles to the inner tent. http://www.dacpole.com/html/products.htm#toys The link should get you to the DAC site page to see what I'm trying to find. I'm trying to find these clips because I want to attach them to my ground sheet in the same way they are on the inner tent, so that I can pitch the fly and ground sheet only.

The problem is that I can't seem to find where I can get these clips from. I've contacted DAC and was told they won't sell to anyone who isn't the producer of tents using their poles. I've also tried to contact Sierra Designs, but have yet to get a response. Does anyone know where I can find the Jakes Foot clips or know who I should contact?

Jim,

Thank you. I emailed Nemo to see when they might have them back in stock. In the meantime, I plan to call SD because I still haven't received a response to my email.

Kelty also uses them on some of their tents in case you keep hitting dead ends.

Good luck,
Jim

Thanks everyone, I think Nemo is going to come through for me. I emailed them and was told they could sell me a few over the phone. But they don't have enough to put them back on their site. I will post back when I know more.

Hi Sean,

So, did you get anything from Nemo ? Actually, I bought a Nemo Obi 3p and, like you, I would want to get those clips for clipping either the inner tent and/or the footprint to the jake's foot in order to pitch the tent on a rainy day.

For anyone who still wants to purchase some Jake’s feet for their tent:

I recently bought a Macpac duolight tent that also uses Jake’s feet to attach the poles, inner tent and fly. I was also concerned about misplacing a Jake’s foot and not being able to use the tent without modifications. I tried Macpac and DAC but they were unable to help. At the suggestion of DAC, I contacted the guys at the Tent Pole Technologies (http://tentpoletechnologies.com/), sent them a photograph of one of my Jake’s feet with basic measurements marked on the photograph and for a small fee they sent me four without any problems. I paid a fair bit in postage because I am in Australia but for US customers that won’t be an issue.

Tom
