Cat can stove with Trek 900 or MSR Kettle

I've used my supercat stove with a Titan Kettle for over 100 nights with no problems. I think that the stove is a bit more efficient with a wider pot, but it certainly works.

I've used the cat can stove with a msr titan and IMUSA 12cm mug. Both about the same size and both had good results. It is definitely suited for wider pots. Save yourself some money and weight and just buy an imusa.

I use the Kettle also and it works great with the cat can. Only problem I've had is the handles get hot, same as any pot/mug. I slid some electrical shrink wrap over mine and it helps. I found that one of those styrofoam soup "cans" makes a great cup (and you can use the lid that comes with it) and I can fit the cup, stove, windshield, ground shield, lighter, and rag all inside the kettle. I get everything inside except my spoon and fuel.

thanks for the heads up. The 10cm one seems to have the same volume as the 900 and the Kettle.

The 10cm doesn't work that well with the cat can. The pot diameter isn't large enough. If you aren't decided on anything, I would recommend buying both the 10cm and 12cm imusa mugs. They're cheap and you can tinker around with different stoves, lids, windscreens, etc.
