How to post in forums?

After entering the "Gear Swap" forum, at the top of the page there is a clickable "Creat New Thread" link.

You have to be logged in to see this.

…but for some reason that link doesn't show up. I've emailed for support but have had no response.

duh, If you can see how to create a thread in this forum you'd know where to look in the Gear Swap forum…:)

I have seen complaints that site features don't automatically show up for very new members.
If I remember correctly, I didn't get the "M" next to my name for a day or two and whenever I change my forum picture there is a lag.

Maybe just keep trying, and good luck with the support email (I hear that can be slow as well)
