Question for Virga2 Owners

The black strut sleeve (up under the ventilation flap) is velcroed at both ends. Unless the strut is missing or separated from the body–is the apex area floppy?–you don't need to do anything unless you want to remove the strut. If the strut is separate from the tent the way you received it, you just need to insert the strut into one of the open sleeve ends and push it through to the other end. Then firmly secure both velcro closure ends and you're done. Feel free to e-mail off-line if you still need help.

I did receive the tent with the strut uninstalled. Knowing now that there is indeed an opening in the end of the velcro I found it. Given it's tough to insert I'll leave it in. Wouldn't want to install in on a dark and stormy night!

Steve, with a little bit of practice you may find that the strut is easy to install. Just leave the velcro at one end of the sleeve attached and straighten out and pinch the sleeve at the other end in order to install easily. I'm a stuffer rather than a roller and so am willing to perform that extra step.

I have tried stuffing/storing with and without the strut installed and prefer with just because I am not sure how long the Velcro will last.
