    Locale: Portland, OR

Am planning a trip out of Portland Oregon for 3rd week of August. Have 5 full trail days, plus travel. Looking for 25-45 mile route, ideally but not necessarily a loop. Hoping to get some feedback on current mosquito/snow/trail conditions, and any suggestions about routes

    Here's the possibilities:

    Wallowa's in NE Oregon:

    Start at Bowman Trailhead
    Up Bowman Creek
Over to Wilson Basin Down to Minam Meadows.
Up Minam Meadows to Steamboat Lake
Out via swamp lake, then Elkhorn Creek down to Copper Creek, and finally, lostine river back to two pan campground.
Hard to hitch back to car along lostine river road?

    Seven Devils in Idaho:
Do the loop, with detours up to various lakes. Any suggestions on best lakes? Super hot out there right now?

    Glacier Peak Wilderness in Washington:
Something out of Trinity? Up Buck Creek? Up Phelps Creek and over Spider Gap? Anyone know how hard getting up Spider Glacier is? Or maybe PCT from Suiattle River and back?

Any and all conditions/route feedback appreciated, thanks!
