I am going to make my own Bivy sack.
It is NOT going to be Super UltraLight. It needs to be made of some more slightly "heavier" materials so that I can use it for another MultiUse piece of equipment.
I was thinking that 1.9 oz coated ripstop nylon for the bottom and 1.9 oz uncoated for the top.
Will the uncoated 1.9 oz nylon work for a breathable/water repellent top?
Are they any materials that are strong, but light and would fit the bill for a bivy top and bottom? Please help.
Thanks in advance -
