The usual round of good deals on great gear.

A nice light grey Houdini stands out at $62.50 or so. I have two, so I don't need another though!

Give Patagonia a call directly, you'll get a real person who can probably walk back and hand pick one out for you. You never know, it has worked in the past for people.

Yeah, most of the stuff I wanted in an XXL was sold out which is odd because usually the the more regular sizes go first. Oh, well, maybe next time.

There were a few XL, XXL, and small merino shirts at the Denver store. All the mediums are gone, though.

If people can't find what they're looking for at Patagonia.com, you might try looking for clearance sales at another store. I just got a pair of GI III pants for 30% off at 02gearshop.com, and my girlfriend picked up a cheap Houdini at backcountrygear.com.

The sales I saw were in the 30-40% off range, not as good as patagonia.com but still way cheaper than full price.

6pm.com also has lots of heavily discounted Patagonia stuff right now, all free shipping, no minimums. Lots of good outdoor gear there, if you search it. Just bought a pair of Inov-8 315 shoes there for $42 that fit me perfectly. Lots of Inov-8 still there, but not in the 315's.

They still had a lot of gear, including the 1/2 zip nano puffs and rain gear, at the big Patagonia store in Chicago.
