I usually use small little metal cups that just burn straight up as my alcohol stove. I was wondering if there were any pot stand out there that could but used for that and for a fire where I could build the fire, put the pot stand over it and then just light it up. Thanks.

Paging Gary Dunckel to the white courtesy phone.

The 'Zia Grill Guy' pot stands are made of Ti rod and are very well made. They'll get the job done. I'm pleased as punch with the two he made me.

I just had a thought about getting some thin Ti skewer stakes and using those as I could adjust the height of the the pot by how far I put them in and can also use them as additional ones for my shelter set up. Nothing against the pot stands.

You can also make one very easily, I wrote up a how to make a pot stand for your alcohol stove. This one is made out of relatively thick titanium rod, with one leg being thinner.

This stand is extremely stable in loose forest duff, and any other surface, and can hold pretty much any sized pot, that’s because the support is a triangle on the ground.

Bike spokes make good material too, very stiff and strong, the how-to suggests the materials to use.
