weight of platy Big Zip, without the extras?

Do you have a way to secure the top without the Blue slider? The zip lock itself is in my experience anything but a lock and will leak without the blue slider. It is a shame that there isn't a nice wide-mouthed platy that doesn't have a huge chunk of plastic on top.

I'll weigh my bits when I get home in about 2 hours. An alternative, depending on what you're looking to accomplish, would be the dirty bag of the gravity works filter system. It doesn't have BIG BLUE slidey thing – I think that's the technical term. I'll weigh that also.

Thanks (to you both)! The "dirty" bag would actually be my preference, but where I live, it's difficult to get just the dirty+clean bags without buying the whole filter system. (and expensive!) Maybe I should post for it on gear swap…
