Counter Assault Training Canister

Never heard of one. I have tested mine out in the past giving a very quick burst to know what to expect. I sprayed one bear in the smokeys. Just keep in mind that there is not that much in them I think like 13 seconds of spray, actually that is quite a bit of time. You might get someone to part with a slightly used or expired one cheap to play with, What arfe regulations regarding shipping? I intend to get my grand daughter trained with one of my old ones, I got three old ones and might part with one

I've owned a half dozen bear spray canisters and practice with them when they expire. They are very easy to use. Reading the instructions ahead of time and mentally practicing should be sufficient, in my opinion.

If you do test a "live" canister, however, pay attention to the wind direction. I forgot to do so a couple of times and some of the spray came back at me. More funny than serious but good to avoid anyway.

I found the experience of discharging a cannister to be very reassuring. They dischage a lot of product very quickly (think fire extinguisher). I sprayed a raccoon who was on my front porch and the discharge was enough so I couldn't even see the raccoon for a few moments. Unfortunately the wind was blowing toward my open front door so my cats and I had to run for cover as some of the spray came back at us as it settled.
